Precision granite

Precision granite is a high-quality construction and decoration material with many excellent physical properties. The following are the main physical properties of precision granite:

Specific Gravity, S.G.
The specific gravity of granite is usually in the range of 2.6 to 2.8, which means that its density is about 2.6 to 2.8 times that of water. A higher specific gravity means that granite is dense and durable.

Porosity
Precision granite has extremely low porosity, typically less than 1%, which makes it excellent in resisting moisture and stains. Low porosity also gives granite high strength and wear resistance.

Vickers Hardness
Vickers hardness is a measure of the hardness of a material. Granite has a Vickers hardness of about 6-7, making it a fairly hard material that resists scratches and wear very well.

Flexural Strength
The bending strength of granite is about 20MPa, which means that it can withstand considerable bending or torque forces and is suitable for use in stressed environments such as stairs and countertops.

Compressive Strength
The compressive strength of granite is very high, reaching more than 200MPa, giving it excellent load-bearing capacity and can be used in building structures.

Young's Modulus
Young's modulus describes the rigidity of the material. The Young's modulus of precision granite is about 50GPa, which shows good rigidity and bending resistance.

Fracture Toughness
Fracture toughness describes the material's ability to resist crack expansion. The value of precision granite is about 0.8-1.5MPa√m, which has a certain degree of crack resistance.

thermal properties
Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: About 6-9×10^-6/°C
Thermal Conductivity: about 2.5-3.5 W/m·K
Specific Heat: about 0.79-0.95 J/g·K

Electrical properties
Dielectric strength/resistivity (Dielectric Strength):1×10^12 Ω·m
Volume Resistivity:1×10^12 Ω·m
Dielectric constant (Permittivity)@1MHz: about 5-7
Dielectric Loss Angle@1MHz: about 0.0001

Precision granite has excellent physical properties, including high density, low porosity, high hardness, excellent strength and heat resistance, and good insulation properties, so it is widely used in the fields of construction, engineering and decoration.
The precision granite processing process usually includes the following steps: raw material selection, cutting, polishing, engraving and inspection. First, you need to select suitable raw materials from the mine, which requires professional vision and experience. Then, professional cutting equipment is used to cut the raw materials into plates or other shapes of the required size. Next, the surface is made smooth and shiny through a polishing process, which is one of the keys to the appeal of precision granite products. During this process, it can also be carved and processed according to customer needs to create various shapes and patterns. Finally, the finished product needs to be rigorously inspected to ensure that it meets relevant quality standards.
Precision granite processing equipment is the key to efficient production and quality products. These equipment include stone cutting machines, polishing machines, engraving machines and testing equipment, etc. These equipment require precise control systems and high-performance cutting tools to handle granite materials of different shapes and hardnesses. At the same time, automation and intelligent functions are also needed to improve production efficiency and reduce labor costs. The selection and use of these equipment is critical to the success of the entire machining process.
